A Broken Heart Is A Beating Heart
I want to tear down the walls and stomp in the glass.
This house won’t keep me away.
I want to light up this bed and watch it all burn.
I don’t sleep the same without you within 30 feet.
I want to cut down the columns and spit in the rubble.
I’ll feel better when both our prisons are in ruins.
I want to forget this nightmare and follow my dreams.
It’s been too long and I miss you.

This is not to some boyfriend. This is a poem for my aunt who resides in prison.
