Takeoff
She believes in the wind
Blowing by
Fluttering her white dress
Painting the steel blue sky
She throws her hands in the air
Head tilted back, eyes closed
Sends her silent grace to the tree toilers
A hymn composed
She yearns for hues, for scents, for sights
To whisk her away
From the infernal creatures
Beseeching her to stay
She is ablaze
Yearning to take flight
The kindled fire beneath
Propelling her into the silver moon
light
