My Greatest Mystery
Today I saw you,
just as always.
You’re Hair,
The most Gorgeous Shade of Golden Brown
as if Maple Syrup and Honey combined
to create the Universes most Heavenly Masterpiece.
Your Skin,
The most Perfect Shade of Tan,
Like Buttermilk Pancakes on a Sunday Afternoon.
Your Face,
Gentle as Silkworm Thread
yet strong as a Warrior.
And Your Eyes,
I cannot say.
every day,
every night,
in my dreams,
in my nightmares,
Though I still cannot say.
I’ve tried to stare,
but you catch me almost immediately.
As if you can tell when I’m near.
As of you can read my thoughts.
Some Nights I try to keep my mind somewhere else,
but it always comes right back to You.
Your Smile,
I cannot find the words to describe its beauty.
Your Scent,
Almost Intoxicating.
Even though I’m never close enough to sense it.
When I try to think of something else,
you invade my thoughts once more,
like you’re a virus
Spreading through my bloodstream,
becoming worse and worse and
slowly, painfully killing me from the inside.
Your Gorgeous Hair,
You’re Perfect Skin,
Your Gentle yet Strong Face,
Your Indescribable Smile,
Your Intoxicating Scent,
Still my Greatest Mystery
