I Take It Back
I take back the smiles, the hugs, and the laughs.
I take back the tears, the screams, and the fears.
I take back the memories, the movie nights, and the road trips.
There's a time to mourn and a time to move on.
The time for mourning has come to an end.
No longer should I miss the friend I used to have.
There's no more love, or trust, or caring.
Everything that made us friends is gone, so I take it all back.
Every single moment that we shared, the good and the bad.
I take back the smiles, the hugs, and the laughs.
I take back the screams, the tears, and the fears.
I take back the memories, the movie nights, and the road trips.
There's a time to mourn and a time to move on.
It's time to move on...
So I take it all back and hope that you're happy.
Goodbye.

This poem is about a friendship that I once cherished, but now that it's gone, I'm taking it all back.
