What If
I’ve been given the chance to start over,
To become someone new,
Someone better.
But what if I don’t want
To close this door,
And open a new one?
What if I don’t want
To leave all my friends behind,
In hopes that I’ll find new ones?
What if I don’t want
To lose my old self,
So I can find a new me?
What if I don’t want
To spend my summer by myself,
With just a dog as my friend?
What if I don’t want
To give up this life I have,
To go live one that you chose for me?
What if I don’t want
This chance to start over?
What if I don’t want
This opportunity to become someone new?
What if I just don’t want to go?

I was inspired to write this because I will be moving for the sixth time this summer.
